Worth traveling for these tacos/tostadas!!! Salsas are flavorful and varied spice levels. Food was authentic and delicious. Takes me back to Mexico City and Tulum. Drinks and service were phenomenal as well. When people find out about this place, you’ll need a reservation! We will definitely be back!!!
Every trip to Mezcala has been consistently amazing. Beautiful balanced cocktails combined with a solid menu. I have yet to walk away disappointed. Service is warm and inviting. Highly recommend the Mero smash or the Oaxaca old fashioned, you also can’t go wrong with any of the tacos. 10/10!

Went last night for taco Tuesday and saw one of their specials on the board and decided to try it. The food was so tasty and amazing! I had a pastor taco and it’s one of my fave pastor in Logan square so far. The Mezcala grilled special was also delicious and perfectly cheesy. Will be going back for sure.
Delicious I had the chilles rellenos served with whole pinto beans, corn tortillas, and rice. The guacamole is really fresh and simple, served with pomegranate seeds on top which I loved. The salsa is fresh tomatoes crushed with cilantro and hot peppers, it was amazing too. Chips are fresh, hot, crispy, perfect. I want to go back again soon because it really was so good.
Pardon the picture, I ate some of the food before I realized I needed to take a picture of this deliciousness! I don’t do many reviews but this restaurant is doing it right. Great authentic food at a reasonable price, great atmosphere, and the staff is amazing! Will be one of my go-to places to eat at. Don’t miss out on their taco Tuesdays either
Came for happy hour, which they have daily. They have a margarita special, which was great, as well as a taco special. The taco special comes with two tacos, a beer, and a shot. They have a patio and plenty of indoor seating. I was excited to see such good reviews- the tacos and deals were awesome!
This place is soooo good! We came for dinner and loved it. The garlic shrimp was amazing, margaritas delicious, verrrrry generous guacamole portion, and best of all — everyone there was so welcoming and kind! We live in the neighborhood and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!
